NanoDynamics, a company in Buffalo, N.Y., is working with coming up with a golf ball that can correct its own flight path to be straighter than conventional golf balls used nowadays. The material of the ball (not found in the article) is supposed to help channel the energy between the ball and the golf club being used. This article was cited in 2004, and the balls were planned to go public in the Spring of 2005.
Another company, Easton Sports, said that they were developing bike parts made of carbon nanotubes to create a stronger and lighter bicycle.
A Pennslyvania company, NanoHorizons, has developed socks that contain gold and silver nanoparticles that are supposed to kill foot odor and bacteria.

That's really interesting, but I feel like that will take away the fun. First tennis balls, now golf balls, I wonder what kind of balls they will experiment with next. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
