Taxis Turned "Green"
It is “back to the future,” a reporter on CNN describes the introduction to New York’s new electric taxis. Electric taxis were created before gasoline powered taxis and now in New York, these green taxis have come back from extinction. Environmentalists and New Yorkers can rejoice, as these taxis do not emit pollution and barely make any noise. The taxis are up and running in New York as they have been certified and licensed. The taxis are run by eight lithium ion batteries with four in the front and four in the back. The taxi motors generate 200 horse powers. This is a great achievement in green chemistry and could also awake talks of putting electric cars back on the market.
