Tea is consumed in the world more than any other beverage besides water. This beverage comes from a specific plant and the conditions in which it is grown can have a significant impact on its taste. When tea leaves are picked, they must be quickly processed because any oxidation will also affect the taste of the tea.
Tea not only is delicious, but it can also have some positive effects on humans. People have used tea for medicinal purposes for a long time, but scientists have recently found out that tea has several nutrients, including antioxidants. It is still not known to what degree tea is in it's antioxidant capacity. Caffeine is also found in tea, which might be the source of the simulating feeling from a cup of tea.
So if you need to stay up on those late nights of studying, try a cup of tea indeed of a Red Bull, because it might be a little better for you.

Tea Party?

I began drinking tea this year. I usually have a cup of green tea before heading out to class, and I haven't gotten sick once this year. I don't know if this is a causal relationship, but I hope I didn't just jinx myself.
I have my tumbler full of tea every morning on the way to class without failure. I usually rotate between Earl Grey, Organic Chai, and Spiced Chai. I guess I'm a black tea fanatic! Green tea is "healthier" but it just doesn't give me the same kick in the glass effect. There's something in the Earl Grey that's just AMAZING. I'm guessing it's the bergamot, which by the way I just learned that some German Colognes use in their perfumes..eh? So maybe its the smell sensory cells in my nostrils that get me to class everday!?! YUMMY!
