I found this video while playing online today. It is especially interesting that a young scientist (probably our age) was presenting the information. In this video, the young chemist describes how isolating the titanium dioxide (TiO2) from powdered donuts can be used to create functional, yet inexpensive solar cells. If we were all to switch from eating donuts to creating solar cells, the energy crisis and rampant obesity might both be averted in one fell swoop.

Cool. My nanotech lab makes a solar cell using titanium dioxide and raspberry juice. Ask Nikesh and Steven Sangha. They have both made it.
