Chemscape

I am still pondering the notion of creating a virtual chem lab where students could synthesize compounds and learn techniques. I am even thinking about writing the creators of Runescape to discuss adding an option that would include a lab. Students respond to video clips and podcasts. They could easily get sucked into a virtual chem world and spend many hours playing and learning. I have to think more about this, but I should really draft a proposal for an IT Educational Initiative. Of course, these initiatives will never replace real hands-on lab experience!
