Sustainable Foods on Campus
I am excited to learn that Emory will grant space for experimental/educational gardens for the Sustainable Food Planning Group. This will be a great opportunity for students, faculty and staff to pair with local farmers to achieve a source of fresh food on campus. Of course, these experimental gardens will be small and used for educational purposes, but they are a start. I was excited to finally meet some students on campus who seem concerned about the environment and actually willing to do something to change it. I so often encounter students who are so focused on a grades and med school that they often miss the big picture.
